Founded by S. D. Modiano in 1884, Modiano has deep roots within the traditions of the cartography business in Trieste, Italy.

Material

Modiano Cards are made of Platinum Acetate to create the best playing card in the world.

Acetate is considered by most experts involved in the science of playing cards as the perfect material for building even better playing cards. 

Acetate based playing cards have more snap, shape retention, texture and in general will be more durable than their regular PVC counterparts (like Copag).

Texture

Modiano cards are well textured unlike other 100% plastic playing cards that are extremely smooth. Smoothness is generally not considered to be a desired attribute of 100% plastic playing cards.
